From 11 to 20 October 2018, King Harare V of the Kingdom of Norway and Queen Song Ya visited China. The China-Norway Business Summit, co-hosted by the Norwegian Innovation Agency and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, was held in Beijing on October 16. The session was attended by King of Norway, some cabinet members and more than 340 Norwegian entrepreneurs, Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Gao Shengbu, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Gao Yan and more than 300 Chinese entrepreneurs. Wen Yuanhua, Chief Executive Officer of China Zhongji Investment, was invited to attend the meeting and signed a cooperation agreement with a prominent Norwegian investment agency at the summit.

 

In his speech, King Harare V of Norway said that trade relations between China and Norway are becoming stronger and stronger. Trade not only has impetus to economic development, but also affects every aspect of society. He stressed that Norway and China were also taking up new opportunities and working together to find safer, greener and sustainable development solutions.

Gu Shengbao, vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), pointed out in his speech at the conference that China and Norway have a long history of friendly exchanges and economic and trade cooperation between the two countries are mutually beneficial and win-win. "We believe that under the leadership of the heads of the two countries, China-Norway relations will certainly add new impetus and economic and trade cooperation will continue to move in the right direction."

 

The vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Gu Sheng, delivered a speech.

 

The theme of this summit is "Towards sustainable development solutions", covering such important issues as smart cities, offshore wind power, technological change-driven innovation and oil and natural gas. At the summit, enterprises and government agencies of China and Norway signed 24 cooperation agreements.

 

Witnessed by officials of the two governments of China and Norway, Wen Yuanhua, president of investment in China and Hebei, and Ying Feimar Co., Ltd. formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding to jointly launch the "China-Nordic" cross-border investment fund, with a target fund of about €250-300 million. The fund will focus on investment platforms for SMEs in northern Europe and China, focusing on industries 4.0, automobiles, health care, clean technology, artificial intelligence, new energy and financial technology, and investing in "the China-Nordic perspective".

 

Sino-Ji Investment signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Ying Feimar.

 

Wen Yuanhua, said that the "China-Nordic" cross-border investment fund is actively preparing for construction. In the future, it is hoped that capital will be used as a link to bring the leading Nordic industries and technologies such as home, electronic precision instruments and medical and health care into China. At the same time, it will push domestic quality projects around the world. This is also an important exploration and starting point for the internationalization of China Zhongji investment.
