China Zhongji Investment appeared at the "Norway Business Summit" and plans to establish a "China-Nordic" cross-border investment fund.


From October 11th to 20th, 2018, His Majesty King Harald V and Queen Sonja of the Kingdom of Norway paid a visit to China. On October 16th, the China-Norway Business Summit, jointly hosted by Innovation Norway and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), was held in Beijing. The Norwegian King, some cabinet members and over 340 Norwegian entrepreneurs, along with Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Gu Shengzu, CCPIT President Gao Yan and over 300 Chinese entrepreneurs attended the meeting. Wen Yuanhua, President of China Zhongji Investment, was invited to attend the meeting and signed a cooperation agreement with a well-known Norwegian investment institution at the summit.

 

In his address, His Majesty King Harald V of Norway stated that the trade relationship between Norway and China is growing stronger, and that trade not only drives economic development but also impacts all aspects of society. He emphasized that Norway and China are also seizing new opportunities, working together to seek safer, greener, and more sustainable development solutions.

Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Gu Shengzu delivered a speech at the conference, pointing out that the friendly exchanges between China and Norway have a long history, and that the economic and trade cooperation between the two countries is mutually beneficial. “We believe that under the leadership of the heads of state of the two countries, the relationship between China and Norway will surely add new impetus, and economic and trade cooperation will continue to move forward in the right direction.”

The theme of this summit was "Leading Sustainable Development Solutions," covering important topics such as smart cities, offshore wind power, technology-driven innovation, and oil and natural gas. At the summit, Chinese and Norwegian companies and government agencies signed a total of 24 cooperation agreements.

 

 

Witnessed by government officials from both China and Norway, Wen Yuanhua, President of China Zhongji Investment, and Infima AS formally signed a memorandum of understanding to jointly initiate the establishment of a "China-Nordic" cross-border investment fund, with a target fund size of approximately €250-300 million. This fund will focus on an investment platform for SMEs in the Nordic region and China, focusing on Industry 4.0, automobiles, healthcare, clean technology, artificial intelligence, new energy, and financial technology, investing in companies with a "China-Nordic perspective".

President Wen Yuanhua introduced, “The China-Nordic cross-border investment fund is under active preparation. In the future, we hope to use capital as a link to introduce leading Nordic industries and technologies in home furnishings, electronic precision instruments, and medical care into China, and at the same time, promote high-quality domestic projects to the world. This is also an important exploration and starting point for China Zhongji Investment's internationalization.”
