Blue Arrow Space Technology signs a multimillion-dollar deal with companies from the UK and Italy


On April 25, 2019, the second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation was successfully held in Beijing. At the Digital Silk Road sub-forum, Zhang Changwu, CEO of Blue Arrow Space, signed contracts with Mr. Tristan Laurent, Vice President of Open Cosmos (UK), and Mr. Luca Rossettini, CEO of D-Orbit (Italy), marking the official commencement of their cooperation.

 

 

 

As China's most important home diplomatic event this year, the second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation has become the world's largest cooperation platform.

 

      Blue Arrow Space and companies from the UK and Italy The contract projects signed between Blue Arrow Space and Open Cosmos and D-Orbit involve the launch and in-orbit delivery of CubeSats, with a total contract value exceeding 100 million RMB. Subsequently, Blue Arrow Space will handle the approval procedures according to national regulations and carry out the relevant launch service contract fulfillment work. The achievement of this cooperation marks the completion of a commercial closed-loop for Blue Arrow Space in R&D, market sales, and launch services.

 

Blue Arrow Space will provide launch services for the CubeSat constellation developed by Open Cosmos. By integrating CubeSat development and launch aerospace technology services, both parties will jointly provide highly integrated turnkey engineering and technology services for the China-UK commercial aerospace market.

 

 

D-Orbit (Italy) will use Blue Arrow Space's independently developed "Zhuque" series of carrier rockets to provide a one-stop commercial launch solution covering multiple engineering services for the latter's developed CubeSat intelligent allocation system.

 

Lin Nianxiu, Vice Minister of the National Development and Reform Commission of China, delivered a speech at the forum.

 

Blue Arrow Space's independently developed "Tianque" 80-ton liquid oxygen methane engine has entered the final assembly and overall system testing phase. The "Zhuque-2" carrier rocket, using the "Tianque" engine, is expected to make its maiden flight in 2020.
