A seminar on the literary script of the TV drama "Long Wind and Distant Road (Da Ji Shang)" was held in Beijing.

On the morning of August 26, a symposium on the literary script of the TV series "Changfeng Daoyuan (Da Ji Shang)" was held at the Beijing Yunzhen Lianhua Hotel.

"Changfeng Daoyuan" is a long-form drama that comprehensively reflects the historical features of Hebei merchants. It was produced by China Zhongji Investment under the guidance of the United Front Work Department of the Hebei Provincial Committee and the Hebei Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce, in collaboration with Hebei Film Group, the most authoritative film and television company in the province, attracting advantageous capital from Hebei. It tells the commercial legend of Liang Hongyi, a Hebei businessman from the late Qing Dynasty to the 50th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, who devoted himself to saving the country through industry and spent his fortune following the revolution. It showcases the magnificent historical picture of modern Hebei and the inherent heroic patriotism of the people of Yan Zhao.

Wen Yuanhua, director and president of China Zhongji Investment Co., Ltd., gave a speech, mentioning famous merchant groups in Chinese history, such as Shanxi merchants, Huizhou merchants, and Zhejiang merchants, and their frequently appearing related film and television dramas. Throughout history, Hebei merchants have been on par with these merchant groups in terms of scale, commercial influence, and many other aspects. For example, the Lao Tai Gang's development of Northeast China, the Jizhong Gang's benefit to Beijing and Tianjin, and the Zhangku Gang's communication with Mongolia were all famous in history. Located in the hinterland of the capital, Hebei merchants have left their mark on almost every major event in modern Chinese history, keeping pace with the times. However, it is regrettable that these wonderful achievements and glories have gradually been buried in the dust of history and forgotten by people. As one of the important teams of new Hebei merchants in the new era, China Zhongji Investment has the obligation to show the glorious history of Hebei merchants to the world, and has the responsibility to inherit the spirit of Hebei merchants: "simple and honest, persevering, valuing righteousness over profit."

At this symposium, Bian Jinping, former vice secretary-general, director of the Research Office, and vice chairman of the Literature, History, and Study Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference; Kang Wei, editor-in-chief of China Art News and council member of the China Association of Literary and Art Critics; Liu Xiaoning, former director of the office of the CPPCC Committee on Education, Science, Culture, Health, and Sports and former director of the General Office of Administration; He Zhenghu, former deputy director of the Hebei Provincial Radio and Television Bureau and president of the Hebei Provincial Radio and Television Association; Shen Xiaoyi, vice president of the China Film Producers Association and vice chairman of the Hebei Film Association; Shi Yuxin, specially invited researcher of the Hebei Provincial Committee, member of the expert group of the Hebei Provincial Government's Decision-Making Advisory Committee, and member of the Chinese Writers Association; Dai Qing, professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Film and Television Arts, Communication University of China, and member of the Television Critics Committee of the Television Artists Association of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles; Zhao Tong, director of the Theoretical Research Office of the Television Center of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles; and Chen Jibao, writer, screenwriter, and member of the Chinese Writers Association, conducted in-depth discussions on the plot, characters, and details of the script. They gave full affirmation to the script of "Changfeng Daoyuan (Da Ji Shang)" and put forward some very pertinent suggestions.

The experts attending the meeting stated that the script of "Changfeng Daoyuan (Da Ji Shang)" covers a large time span, involves many historical events, and has rich and colorful character settings, representing a new discovery and creation of Hebei merchants. As a main melody drama, it is important to balance the story and historical facts, ensuring authenticity, reasonability, and logic. The producer of "Changfeng Daoyuan (Da Ji Shang)" stated that they would actively incorporate the experts' opinions, improve the script, and further enhance the quality of the work.
