China Zhongji Investment completes targeted investment in "Shenzhen Tianma A"
Recently, China Zhongji Investment completed a targeted investment in Tianma Microelectronics Co., Ltd. (stock abbreviation: Shenzhen Tianma A, stock code: 000050, hereinafter referred to as "Tianma Microelectronics"), a leading manufacturer of small and medium-sized display panels. The funds raised will primarily be used for the Phase II project of Tianma's sixth-generation AMOLED production line in Wuhan.

In the smart terminal market, the most representative technologies are currently LTPS LCD and AMOLED. LTPS products are favored by consumers for their excellent image quality and have dominated the high-end market in recent years. Among all small-size display technologies, AMOLED is the most advanced display technology in the high-end smartphone market. Due to its excellent performance, its market share in the high-end market will continue to expand, but the cost is relatively high at this stage.
Since the fourth quarter of 2017, Tianma Microelectronics' LTPS LCD smartphone shipments have ranked first globally, achieving full coverage of mainstream global brands and supporting multiple domestic and international mobile smart terminal brand customers in achieving the global launch of new products. In July 2020, the company released the world's first LCD in-screen multi-point fingerprint solution, continuing to lead in LTPS LCD technology research and development. This technology will greatly enhance the diversified application of the human-computer interaction experience of smart terminals and continuously release the application potential of LCD panels.
In terms of AMOLED, Tianma Microelectronics has accumulated extensive experience. Starting in 2010, it has been developing in the OLED field, building the first OLED pilot line in China that year. Later, it independently mastered AMOLED core technologies, and the AMOLED embedded pressure-sensitive touch screen technology it launched was a world's first. Over the past ten years, the company has focused on R&D of new AMOLED technologies and improving product yield, while steadily expanding production capacity as market demand gradually increases. According to the plan, the company's AMOLED business will achieve breakthroughs and growth in the next five years.
In addition, in the professional display field, Tianma Microelectronics maintains a global leading position in several market segments. Its automotive product shipments rank second globally, with customers from Europe, America, and Japan accounting for approximately 75%. It has achieved full coverage of customers in mainstream domestic passenger vehicles. Most other customers in the specialized display field are Fortune 500 companies and other well-known professional brand customers, with relatively stable customers and markets.
