Blue Arrow Space completed a C+ round of financing of 1.2 billion RMB

In September 2020, Blue Origin Space Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Blue Origin") announced the completion of a C+ round of financing of 1.2 billion RMB. Over the past 12 months, it has received a total investment exceeding 1.8 billion RMB. China Zhongji Investment participated in Blue Origin's B+ round of financing in September 2018.

It is understood that this round of financing was jointly led by Sequoia Capital China Fund, Country Garden Venture Capital, Matrix Partners China, and a publicly listed company under cornerstone Capital. It also received investment from the National Small and Medium-sized Enterprise Development Fund, Huzhou Saiyuan Government Fund, Lightspeed China, Gopher Asset Management, Yanfu Investment, Yunbo Capital, Lakeside International, and Sunac Investment. Existing shareholders Luxin Venture Capital, Yisheng Investment, and Juzhuo Capital continued to invest.

This round of financing will provide sufficient support for the development of the Zhuque-2 series of liquid-fueled carrier rocket products, continuously building the company's unique research and development and mass production capabilities for large and medium-sized liquid oxygen methane rockets. As a commercial rocket company that has taken the lead in establishing a full-chain capability advantage of "design-research and development-production-testing-launch," the company will firmly grasp the market opportunities for rapid satellite networking launches worldwide, continue to increase investment in research and development and talent, deepen the company's "moat," and comprehensively build commercial launch capabilities centered on large and medium-sized liquid oxygen methane carrier rockets.

Zhang Changwu, founder and CEO of Blue Origin, said: "Blue Origin is still in the accumulation and exploration phase. The team will continue to uphold a cautious and pragmatic attitude, focusing on the needs of commercial satellite launches and focusing on building the efficient transportation capacity of the Zhuque series of liquid rockets to contribute to the development of China's aerospace industry."

The company has always adhered to the principle that "market demand is the only criterion for defining products." Aiming at large and medium-sized liquid rocket products with high technological barriers, high reliability, and low cost, it has pioneered the liquid oxygen methane product route in China's commercial rocket field and continues to maintain a leading position. By the end of August 2020, the company has successfully completed multiple full-system hot-fire tests of the "Tianque" 80-ton and 10-ton class engines, and the Zhuque-2 liquid carrier rocket has also completed multiple important ground tests, with various subsystem components having been delivered successively.

In July 2020, Blue Origin's "Tianque" 10-ton class liquid oxygen methane engine completed a swing test with a maximum swing angle of ±25°.
