HICOOL is a newly established global entrepreneurship brand in Beijing, dedicated to attracting and serving outstanding technology entrepreneurs, business leaders, and investment institutions worldwide. A relevant official from the competition organizing committee stated that, in terms of both the number of applicants and the quality of projects, the HICOOL Global Entrepreneurship Competition is one of the most high-standard international entrepreneurial events in the global innovation and entrepreneurship field this year.

This competition focused on six cutting-edge technological fields, including artificial intelligence, biohealth, and next-generation information technology. Daya Technology emerged victorious with its independently developed digital breast tomosynthesis system for breast cancer screening in Chinese women, winning second prize.

Founded in June 2017 and located in the Zhongguancun National Independent Innovation Demonstration Zone in Beijing, Daya Technology's main business includes the research, development, manufacturing, and sales of high-end medical imaging equipment. It has obtained a Class II medical device license from the Chinese government. Dr. Wu Tao, the company's general manager, has over 20 years of experience in the medical imaging field, with extensive experience in both academia and industry.

The award-winning digital breast tomosynthesis system is specifically designed for the characteristics of predominantly dense breast tissue in Chinese women. It uses Digital Breast Tomosynthesis (DBT) technology, employing a high-resolution, low-noise digital detector to perform rapid, high-acquisition-rate, low-dose pulsed exposures of the breast. A statistical iterative mathematical algorithm based on a Chinese breast model is used to reconstruct three-dimensional breast information, reducing the impact of structural noise and tissue overlap. This provides richer, more accurate, and reliable information for clinical use, significantly reducing the difficulty of image reading and improving diagnostic accuracy. This system is currently applied to the company's independently developed and domestically pioneering breast X-ray machine (DART-MD-2D), which has independent intellectual property rights.

As an early investor in this project, China Zhongji Investment completed its angel round investment in Daya Technology in 2017 and has witnessed its growth and development.

It is understood that this entrepreneurship competition received a total of over 2,000 applications from high-quality projects and companies from home and abroad, covering 82 countries and regions globally. The preliminary rounds were held in 11 science and technology cities across four competition zones in North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and China. After preliminary screening, preliminary rounds, semi-finals, and finals, a total of 100 winning projects were selected, including 5 first prizes and 15 second prizes. The competition attracted the participation and attention of 72 top investment institutions, including Sequoia Capital, Hillhouse Capital, IDG Capital, and ZhenFund.
