Galaxy Asset Management, the fifth nationwide AMC, has opened for business, with China Zhongji Investment as its strategic partner.


On January 9, 2021, the opening ceremony and business launch meeting of China Galaxy Asset Management Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "China Galaxy Asset") was held in Beijing. Li Mei, Chairman of China Galaxy Financial Holdings and China Galaxy Asset, presided over the meeting and announced the official opening and business launch of China Galaxy Asset. Representatives from government agencies, shareholder units, and partners jointly unveiled the sign for China Galaxy Asset. China Zhongji Investment became one of the first strategic partners of China Galaxy Asset.

 

It is understood that China Galaxy Asset Management Co., Ltd. is the fifth nationwide financial asset management company approved by the State Council and the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission. The company is the first nationwide financial asset management company to be approved twenty years after the establishment of the four major AMCs, China Cinda, Huarong, Great Wall, and Orient, in 1999.

 

China Galaxy Asset will implement the central financial work's "three major tasks," contribute to winning the "three major battles," actively serve the structural reform of financial supply, and aim to promote the financial asset management industry's comprehensive service to the real economy and high-quality development. Based on a clear strategic positioning and distinct business characteristics, it will strive to build a model for the management and operation of non-performing assets that is recognized by regulators, commercially viable, controllable in risk, and has core competitiveness.

 

 

Wen Yuanhua, President of China Zhongji Investment, stated that China Galaxy Asset is an important strategic partner of China Zhongji Investment. The two parties will carry out in-depth cooperation in the operation of non-performing assets, continuously explore diversified disposal methods for non-performing assets, jointly explore special investment opportunities, and promote the healthy and rapid development of the industry.
