United Imaging's application for listing on the STAR Market has been accepted.
Recently, United Imaging Healthcare Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "United Imaging" or "the Company") submitted its IPO application to the STAR Market and has been accepted.
Founded in 2011, United Imaging is a leading medical technology company committed to providing global customers with high-end medical imaging equipment, radiation therapy products, life science instruments, and intelligent medical solutions covering the entire process of imaging diagnosis and treatment. Its main products include magnetic resonance imaging systems (MR/MRI), X-ray computed tomography systems (CT), X-ray imaging systems (XR), molecular imaging systems (PET/CT, PET/MR), medical linear accelerator systems (RT), and life science instruments. United Imaging focuses on high-end medical equipment and carries out technological breakthroughs around "stuck neck" technologies. Through independent innovation, the company has launched a number of industry-first or domestically-first innovative products. In high-end medical imaging equipment products, over 90% of the core components can be independently developed and mass-produced. Among them, nuclear magnetic resonance has basically achieved complete domestic production. Currently, the company has over 1,500 authorized invention patents and has taken the lead in undertaking nearly 40 national and provincial-level research and development projects, nearly 20 of which are major national science and technology projects. United Imaging's overseas layout is also constantly advancing. The company has established regional headquarters and R&D centers in the United States, Malaysia, the United Arab Emirates, Poland, and other places, and has production capacity layouts in Shanghai, Changzhou, Wuhan, and Houston, USA, gradually establishing a global R&D, production, and service network.
In 2020 and the first half of 2021 (the reporting period), the company achieved operating income of 576,103.37 million yuan and 308,522.39 million yuan, respectively, and net profit attributable to the parent company shareholders of 90,291.59 million yuan and 64,742.78 million yuan, respectively. In this IPO, the company plans to issue no more than 100 million shares (before exercising the over-allotment option), planning to raise 12.48 billion yuan for the research and development of next-generation products, the construction of marketing service networks, and supplementing liquidity funds, with CITIC Securities and CICC as joint sponsors.
Since the end of 2017, China Zhongji Investment, based on the domestic and international development situation and the global industrial development cycle, has identified the large health industry as one of the key areas of its investment portfolio. In 2019, China Zhongji Investment participated in the investment in United Imaging, improving the layout of key projects in the large health sector. United Imaging is the only domestic company with a product line covering the full range of high-end medical imaging equipment and possessing core technologies. It has injected new vitality into the market that was originally monopolized by foreign companies. With the technological moat established by continuous high-intensity R&D investment and the irreplaceable team of engineers, United Imaging's product line competitiveness will continue to strengthen. In the future, it will be expected to grow into an important participant in international medical devices, with promising upward potential. United Imaging stated that the funds raised this time will be used for projects related to the company's main business and operating funds needed for the development of its main business. It will further support the company's scale and global development, expand the company's production capacity for high-end medical imaging equipment, accelerate product and technological upgrades, expand market share, and promote the company to become a world-class leader in medical innovation.
