On April 9, 2022, Xinyuan Power, an investee company of China Zhongji Investment, along with Qingji Energy and Shenwei Lion Star, formed a hydrogen energy consortium and jointly signed an agreement with the Daxing District Government of Beijing for a hydrogen energy project in the district.

Hydrogen Energy Consortium Creates a Distinctive Integrated Project
Xinyuan Power, Qingji Energy, and Shenwei Lion Star formed a hydrogen energy project consortium and signed a cooperation agreement in Beijing for the project's establishment in the Daxing International Hydrogen Energy Demonstration Zone. This cooperation will focus on the hydrogen fuel cell vehicle industry chain, integrating the fuel cell stack and system independent development and manufacturing capabilities of Xinyuan Power and Qingji Energy, as well as the new energy vehicle service advantages of Beijing Shenwei Lion Star, to achieve sustainable development in the research, production, and application of hydrogen fuel cell power systems.
Under the guidance and support of the Daxing District Government, Xinyuan Power will work with its partners to build a hydrogen fuel cell vehicle industry ecosystem platform, adopting a new industrial development model driven by technological innovation, industrial cluster development, and joint demonstration leadership, to create a benchmark for hydrogen fuel cell industrialization projects.

Adding a New Chapter of Development
Founded in April 2001, Xinyuan Power is China's first joint-stock enterprise dedicated to the industrialization of fuel cells. It is the only fuel cell and hydrogen source technology national engineering research center authorized by the National Development and Reform Commission, the only national-level intellectual property rights demonstration enterprise in the industry, a national high-tech enterprise, the vice chairman unit of the National Fuel Cell and Flow Battery Standardization Committee responsible for setting national fuel cell technology standards, and a postdoctoral research workstation approved by the state.
Xinyuan Power mainly engages in the design, development, production, manufacturing, and technical services of hydrogen fuel cell membrane electrodes, stacks, systems, and related testing equipment, with a total of 558 patents. By the end of 2021, more than 1,000 fuel cell vehicles equipped with Xinyuan Power products had been installed, with a cumulative operating mileage exceeding 15 million kilometers. Fuel cell vehicle fleets equipped with Xinyuan Power products are in operation in 11 cities across the country.
With the signing and implementation of the hydrogen energy consortium project in Daxing, Xinyuan Power has added a new chapter to its hydrogen energy map. In the future, it will adhere to its original intention of driving the world with fuel cells and dedicating itself to the industrialization of fuel cells, providing competitive green hydrogen fuel cell power and energy solutions and services, and contributing to the national goals of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality.
China Zhongji Investment completed its investment in Xinyuan Power in December 2021.
