IICT (Intelligent Interconnected Transportation) makes a major announcement of its Intelligent Road Network (IRN) technology
Recently, IICT (Intelligent Road Network; IRN), a portfolio company of China Zhongji Investment, officially launched its Intelligent Road Network (IRN) technology.
The Intelligent Road Network is a highly intelligent system featuring holistic perception, automatic traffic control, communication interaction, real-time information dissemination, high-performance computing, vehicle-road collaboration, autonomous driving operation and management, situation prediction, autonomous decision-making, and AI scheduling. It represents a new type of infrastructure that supports the present and looks towards the future, encompassing the intelligent transformation of road traffic and smart roads.
The Intelligent Road Network (IRN) technology stems from IICT's perspective of serving traffic management and urban governance while looking toward the future. It aims to build an intelligent support system for current applications in the smart transportation field, such as "smart traffic lights," "holistic intersections," "vehicle-road collaboration," "intelligent networking," "intelligent connected vehicles," and "autonomous driving."
At the technical level, the Intelligent Road Network (IRN) system utilizes intelligent sensing, big data, the Internet of Things, and multi-dimensional communication technologies to connect and integrate intersections, main roads, and even the "capillary networks" of traffic, forming a closed-loop system involving people, vehicles, roads, and scenarios. From points and lines to surfaces, it establishes a smart traffic management capability based on a global, comprehensive, and real-time approach, building a large-scale "traffic neural network" of intelligent road networks for cities, regions, and countries.
The value of this technology lies in its ability to address current pain points such as parking difficulties, traffic congestion, traffic safety, green and low-carbon travel, and comprehensive traffic management, while also supporting the development and application of vehicle-road collaboration and autonomous/unmanned driving, thereby providing crucial infrastructure support for the greater economic and social development.
To date, IICT holds over 400 domestic and international core patents in artificial intelligence, big data, and intelligent hardware.
