Han Zheng, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and Vice Premier of the State Council, visited Dalian Rongke Energy Storage for inspection.

On June 6, 2022, Han Zheng, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Vice Premier of the State Council, visited Dalian Rongke Energy Storage Technology Development Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Dalian Rongke Energy Storage") for inspection.

At the Dalian Rongke Energy Storage R&D center, Vice Premier Han Zheng listened to the chairman's introduction of Dalian Rongke Energy Storage's development, its innovations in all-vanadium redox flow battery energy storage technology, achievements, and industrialization. He also conducted an in-depth understanding of the vanadium resources situation, supply chain construction, and market promotion and application of all-vanadium redox flow batteries.

Dalian Rongke Energy Storage, through more than ten years of accumulation and innovation, and in-depth industry-university-research cooperation with the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, has achieved a major breakthrough in the core technology of all-vanadium redox flow batteries, established a complete independent intellectual property rights system, and is a leading formulator of domestic and international standards in the flow battery field. It has taken the lead in achieving the domestic production of key materials such as all-vanadium redox flow battery electrolytes and bipolar plates, as well as the large-scale production of stacks and battery systems. After listening to Liu Yanhui's introduction, Vice Premier Han Zheng gave full affirmation and said: "It is not easy to insist on core technology development and independent innovation for more than ten years."

Vice Premier Han Zheng learned in detail about China's vanadium resources. He was very pleased to learn that China has abundant vanadium resources, outstanding resource self-sufficiency and controllability, and the sustainable recyclability of vanadium in batteries.

Finally, Chairman Liu Yanhui introduced the market positioning, key projects, and current promotion and application of all-vanadium redox flow batteries. All-vanadium redox flow batteries are one of the preferred technologies for high-safety, large-scale, environmentally friendly, and medium-to-long-term energy storage, suitable for construction as infrastructure to solve large-scale renewable energy consumption and ensure the safe and stable operation of the power grid.

Vice Premier Han Zheng fully affirmed Dalian Rongke Energy Storage's adherence to independent innovation, focusing on national strategies, and promoting the development of vanadium battery energy storage industry, and emphasized the need to accelerate the promotion and application of all-vanadium redox flow battery energy storage.

Zhang Guoqing, Secretary of the Liaoning Provincial Committee of the CPC; Li Leceng, Governor of Liaoning Province; Hu Yuting, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Committee of the CPC and Secretary of the Dalian Municipal Committee; and leaders from relevant national ministries and commissions accompanied the inspection.

As one of the earliest companies to engage in all-vanadium redox flow battery energy storage, Rongke Energy Storage adheres to independent innovation and has put into operation many projects in the fields of grid peak regulation, renewable energy grid connection, and industrial and commercial microgrids. Recently, the 100MW/400MWh Dalian liquid flow battery energy storage peak-shaving power station, the first national-level large-scale chemical energy storage demonstration project approved by the National Energy Administration, and also the world's largest liquid flow battery energy storage power station—220kV temporary access system project was officially energized. The battery system used in this power station is a product of Rongke Energy Storage.

In the second half of 2021, China Zhongji Investment completed an equity investment in Rongke Energy Storage, promoting the large-scale commercial application and continuous cost reduction and efficiency improvement of all-vanadium redox flow energy storage batteries.
