The selection of national specialized and new "small giant" enterprises is an important measure for the MIIT to earnestly implement the "Guiding Opinions on Promoting the Healthy Development of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises" issued by the General Office of the CPC Central Committee and the General Office of the State Council, promoting the specialized and new development of small and medium-sized enterprises. The selected enterprises are leading enterprises that focus on niche markets, have strong innovation capabilities, high market share, master key core technologies, and excellent quality and efficiency. After preliminary examination and review at the municipal and provincial levels, the selected enterprises are recommended to the MIIT for condition verification, inter-departmental review, expert review, and announcement. Finally, they are recognized and awarded, representing the highest level and most authoritative honorary title in the national assessment of small and medium-sized enterprises.
