  On the morning of November 29, the second World Jishang Congress was held at the Handan Cultural and Art Center in Hebei Province. This congress was jointly hosted by the United Front Work Department of the CPC Hebei Provincial Committee and the Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce, undertaken by the CPC Handan Municipal Committee and the Handan Municipal People's Government, and co-organized by the Provincial Taiwan Affairs Office, the Provincial Overseas Chinese Federation, the Provincial Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and other municipal governments (including Dingzhou and Xinji). Huang Rong, Vice Chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, and Gao Zhili, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Hebei Provincial Committee and Minister of the United Front Work Department, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches respectively. Li Qian, Vice Governor, introduced the provincial conditions and business environment. Gao Hongzhi, Secretary of the CPC Handan Municipal Committee, delivered a speech. The opening ceremony was presided over by Liu Jingsong, Chairman of the Hebei Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce. More than 500 Jishang representatives from home and abroad participated in this grand event. The congress, themed "Gathering the Strength of Jishang, Painting a New Chapter for Hebei," aimed to build a platform for the liaison, communication, and cooperation of Jishang at home and abroad, gather the strength of Jishang, encourage and guide Jishang to return for entrepreneurship and development, promote the accelerated transformation, green development, and leapfrog upgrading of Hebei's economy, and contribute to the comprehensive construction of a strong economic province and a beautiful Hebei.
